Former Cumming restaurant owner, Waffle House exec dies

A 78-year-old former Cumming restaurant owner and Waffle House executive has died.

Charles Ammons was the founder and owner of Deckers Restaurant in Cumming, which he operated from 1988 to 2010, and began his restaurant career with Waffle House, rising to the position of Senior Vice President. Ammons was an avid bike rider and frequented the streets and roads of Forsyth County.
