Seven people, including four children, were injured in that early morning crash Tuesday on Cleveland Highway at Jim Hood Road that played havoc with rush-hour commuters on one of the main thoroughfares into Gainesville.
GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(Tuesday) at approximately 7:19 am, a trooper from the Gainesville Post of the Georgia State Patrol was dispatched to a three-vehicle crash on SR 11 at Jim Hood Rd.
The investigating trooper determined that the driver of a 1999 Beige Toyota Camry failed to yield when turning left at the intersection and struck two other vehicles.
The driver of the Toyota Camry, Susan Adam, age 43, of Gainesville, received injuries from the crash and was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Four juveniles in the Camry were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville and were all later transported to Children’s HealthCare of Atlanta. The juveniles included Ethan Adam, age 11, Braiden Adam, age 12, Liam Adam, age 9, and Kayleigh Adam, age 6, all residents of Gainesville.
The driver of a 2014 White Jeep Wrangler, Landon Bulgin, age 19 of Cleveland, (als) received injuries from the crash. The driver of a 2015 White Kia Forte, Elise Stephenson, age 47 of Gainesville, received injuries from the crash and was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Charges are pending currently.”
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) had warned motorists to expected extended delays as a result of the accident.
