Four people have been arrested in Dahlonega in connection with actions taken against a 5-year-old, according to the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).
Spokesman Alan Roach says, “while conducting a follow-up investigation into a reported runaway juvenile, deputies discovered a separate incident involving a 5-year-old male who was being restrained inside a residence on Iberian Road in a manner not permitted under Georgia law.”
Capt. Roach added that following the initial on-scene investigation, “four adults residing at the residence were taken into custody due to their knowledge of the conditions under which the child was being restrained.”
Arrested were Marisol Pena-Acosta, 41; Pilar Herrera Hernandez, 74; Juventino Banuelos, 20; and Pedro Banuelos Herrera, 45.
Charges against the four were not immediately available.
