4 injured in Ga. 365, Thompson Bridge Rd. accidents

Four people were injured, none seriously, in two wrecks on Georgia 365 and Thompson Bridge Road Thursday.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVES:

“On May 09, 2024, at 12:15pm,  a 2008 Ford Focus Sedan was traveling south on the GA 365 Southbound On Ramp.  The Ford Focus was traveling too fast for the conditions of the roadway and the Ford Focus sedan traveled off the right shoulder. The Ford Focus sedan then struck several work zone cones, a guardrail, and then struck a tree. Driver was able to get out of the vehicle but the passengers had to be extracted by the Habersham County Fire Department due to being trapped inside the vehicle.

All occupants were injured with non-life-threatening injuries. One occupant was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.

Driver Jenny Beth Parker Age 43 out of Cornelia, Georgia Not Transported

Passenger Angelia Brock Age 54 Toccoa, Georgia Not transported

Passenger Kimberly Mccloskey Age 53 Cornelia, Georgia Transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, Georgia

Driver was charged with Too Fast for Conditions and Failure to update address on license.”

“On 05/09/2024 at 8:09pm, Georgia State Patrol was dispatched to an accident located on SR 60 (Thompson Bridge Road), north of Fairmont Street.

The accident involved a black Chevrolet Tahoe that failed to maintain its lane and traveled off the right side of the roadway. After traveling off the roadway, The Tahoe struck the end of a guardrail and overturned down an embankment. The Tahoe came to a final uncontrolled rest on its passenger side.

Driver was identified as Matthew Mcbee of Hall county. Mr. Mcbee was transported to Northeast GA Medical Center of Gainesville, GA for treatment of injuries.”
