Deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrested an Oglethorpe County man early Wednesday and charged him with providing marijuana to a juvenile.
“Just before 3 a.m., HCSO deputies observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the back parking lot of a convenience store at the intersection of Cleveland Highway and Nopone Road,” HCSO spokeswoman B.J. Williams said. “When the two occupants of the vehicle observed law enforcement, they exited the car and entered the store.”
Williams said when the officers walked up to the car, they saw marijuana in plain view inside and also detected a strong odor of the drug.
“Deputies entered the store and made contact with Paul William Klotz, 36, of Crawford, and a Buford girl, under the age of 17,” she added. “Following an investigation at the scene, Mr. Klotz was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and driving with a suspended license.” “
Klotz posted a bond of $3,900 and was released from the Hall County Jail later in the day.
