Three people were injured in an accident on Dawsonville Highway west of Gainesville Saturday afternoon. It happened about 1:15.
GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“…troopers responded to Dawsonville Highway and Lake Ranch Drive in reference to a two-vehicle crash.
The investigation revealed a 2003 Hummer was traveling west on Dawsonville Highway, negotiating a curve in the right lane and a 2018 Ford Expedition was traveling south on Lake Ranch Drive.
The driver of the Hummer, Jennifer Tolin, 44, Dawsonville, failed to stop for a red traffic light. The Hummer struck the front driver side of the Expedition and as a result both vehicles came to a stop in the intersection.
The driver of the Expedition, Dennis Chambers, 72, Gainesville, and a passenger, Nichola Chambers, 67, were injured and transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the Hummer only had minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital. She was also charged with Failure to obey traffic control devices.”
