20+ dogs ‘rescued’ by Hall Co. Animal Control; woman arrested

A 68-year-old woman was being held in the Hall County Jail late Friday afternoon following her arrest Thursday on animal cruelty charges. Debbie Diane Patterson was arrested after, Hall County officials say, after animal control officers “rescued” 23 dogs Thursday from a residence in the 4000 block of Thompson Bridge Road.

HALL CO. GOVERNMENT NEWS RELEASE:

“Hall County Animal Control initially visited the residence…Sept. 23 for a welfare check. At that time, the homeowner would not allow Animal Control officers onto the property.

On Thursday…Hall County Animal Control, with the assistance of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant on the property. Upon entry, officers found 23 dogs and several violations, including poor sanitation and no water for the animals…”
