Gainesville Police have charged an 18-year-old with drug distribution following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
“Officers conducted a traffic stop on 12/2/25 for a minor traffic infraction,” spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Wednesday. “During the stop (Matthew Alexander Arceo) did not have a driver’s license, found 2.4 ounces of suspected marijuana, 31THC vapes and other related items for the distribution of drugs.”
He is charged with:

*POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA FEL – VGCSA
*POSSESSION OF A SCH I OR II CONTROLLED SUBST W INTENT DIST
*WINDSHIELDS/FRONT WINDOW TINT
*LICENSE – TO BE CARRIED AND EXHIBITED ON DEMAND
*POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
*POSSESSION AND USE OF DRUG RELATED OBJECTS PROHIBITED
Arceo was released from the Hall County Jail Wednesday night on bonds totaling $11,800.
