An 18-year-old was being held without bond in the Hall County Jail Tuesday afternoon following his arrest Monday on 22 charges including four of armed robbery in connection with two recent incidents in Gainesville.
Jeremiyah Eurell Leonard was arrested by Gainesville Police, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) which had featured him in its Jan. 15 Wanted Wednesday posting and announced his arrest in a follow-up to that posting Tuesday.
“Leonard charged with December 29, 2024 robbery,” police spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email later in the day Tuesday. “Victim met subject online for purchase of vehicle parts. During exchange, subject punched the adult male victim in the face. The victim pulled a gun on the suspect, at which point the suspect took the gun from the victim and ran.”
Lt. Holbrook added that Leonard is believed responsible for another robbery earlier this month in which he met with the victim to exchange a PS5 (Play Station 5), at which point he took the money and PS5 and fled on foot.
