The state patrol released details Saturday on an incident that happened a few days ago on I-985 that started when a motorist repeatedly did not use his turn signals and ended up with him in jail on drug distribution charges and more.

STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“(On Thursday…at 3:45pm a Trooper observed a white Honda Civic change lanes without a turn signal multiple times near I-985 north approaching (Mile Marker)10.

The Trooper activated his emergency equipment and attempted to initiate a traffic stop as the white Honda changed lanes multiple times through traffic. The Trooper observed the driver throw a bag full of black boxes out of the driver’s side window.

(After he was stopped) the driver, Mr. Kalen Wilson, advised the Trooper he threw out a zip lock bag of Marijuana and THC vapes out of the window once he heard the units coming. Mr. Wilson was then detained and placed in the back of the Trooper’s patrol vehicle.

Mr. Wilson was placed under arrest and transported to Hall County Jail.”
