A 17-year-old robbery suspect, who has been in juvenile detention since his arrest last summer, is now being held in the Hall County Jail.
A Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said Tuesday Ismael Mendoza was transferred from juvenile lockup to the county jail recently after he turned 17. Mendoza was 16 at the time of his arrest along with a then-14-year-old.
The pair is accused by the sheriff’s office and Gainesville Police with several armed robberies of taxi drivers.
