Gainesville is reporting another sewage spill. This one occurred in Balus Creek Wednesday morning.
City officials report that it was caused by a leak near Tumbling Creek Road and involved about 1,200 gallons.
They say the city’s Department of Water Resources (DWR) “quickly addressed” the issue, restored the flow, and resolved the problem in less than an hour.
No dead aquatic life was found and water quality checks “were within state standards,” they reported.
That brings the number of spills to at least seven since last December.
