Woodard enters plea; theft & false statements charges dropped

Former Hall County Solicitor-General Stephanie Woodard entered a guilty plea to unprofessional conduct Friday, just over two months after she was indicted on 24 counts of theft by taking and false statements.

The plea deal calls for Woodard, who resigned earlier this month, to pay restitution totaling more than $2,000 to Hall County and the Prosecution Attorneys Council of Georgia.

During a court hearing in Gainesville Friday morning, Woodard admitted that she had made some mistakes.
