Woman arrested in $6K+ burglary

A woman wanted for a residential burglary in Hall County last month has now been arrested.

A warrant was taken for Rachel Naomi Griner, 48, following a burglary on July 16 at a home on Propes Drive in Oakwood.

Griner had been staying at the residence at the invitation of the homeowner, but when he asked her to leave after two weeks, she returned to the residence while the family was not at home, Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) spokeswoman B.J. Williams said Monday.

According to video taken at the house, Griner and two other people, a man and woman, entered the house and took more than $6,500 worth of items, including a 3D printer, a television, a GoPro camera, various tools and miscellaneous clothing, Williams added.

The other suspects had not been identified at last report.

Griner was arrested in Lowndes County Friday and returned to Hall County to face a single felony count of first-degree burglary. As of Monday afternoon, Williams said, she was being held without bond.
