*The fatal accident happened Monday afternoon at Asbury Road and Georgia Highway 115. The state patrol says Andrew Clark of Cleveland was killed when he drove his SUV into the path of a tractor trailer. The 30-year-old Clark, who had to be cut from the wreckage, died at the scene.
*Officers from three Hall County law enforcement agencies conducted an “active shooter” drill in Jackson County over Thanksgiving break. The two-day Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERT) was held at Knoll Middle School, according to a posting on the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
