*A 43-year-old Gainesville man, Derrace Reshand, was arrested by the White County Sheriff’s Office early Sunday after he crashed his vehicle into a fence on Cleveland Highway just north of Clarks Bridge Road. Damons, who was attempting to elude White County deputies, was headed southbound just before 3:30, when he exited the left-hand side of the and hit the fence. Damons was not injured and was taken into custody by White County deputies at the scene.
*A middle-of-the-night hit-and-run Friday took out a section of fence at a house on Highland Road and the vehicle that did so also struck a car parked in the yard. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle then left the scene. No description of the suspect vehicle at this time, according to the report.
