Dr. Ley Hathcock is the choice to serve as principal of the Hall County School District’s (HCSD) Virtual Program of Choice (VPOC), whose current principal, Dr. Scott Tipton, plans to retire.
Schools Supt. Will Schofield will present his recommendation for Dr. Hathcock to replace him at Monday’s Board of Education meeting.
Hathcock currently serves as principal at West Hall High School, a post he has held for eight years.
In a message sent to West Hall parents last week, he said:
“I have enjoyed my time serving as your principal tremendously. The relationships forged with
students, staff, and stakeholders during my time at West Hall High School are some of the most
meaningful of my career, and I will cherish them always. I look forward to the opportunity to
serve the students and families of the Hall County School District next year in an exciting and
challenging new role.”
