*A poplar western route around downtown Gainesville, West Academy St. (at Gym of ’36) to Oak Street (at the library), will be closed overnight Tuesday from 8:30 to 5:30 for utilities installation.
*A fire that destroyed a camper in Gainesville Sunday morning has been ruled accidental by the city fire marshal. It happened about 11:00 at Northside Drive and Academy Street. The camper was located between a business and a house, according to a Gainesville Fire Department spokesman. The fire marshal says it started when the propane refrigerator caught fire after being tested by the owner.
