Happy Father’s Day and first day of summer. And today is going to feel like summer as well as the next few days.
The weather service says across north and south-central Georgia temperatures are going to be so warm that the “feels like” readings will range between 95 and 100 – from mid-90s in places like Atlanta, Athens, and Gainesville to triple-digits in Columbus, Macon and Vidalia.
That will be the trend through at least Wednesday, forecasters say. However, rain and thunderstorm chances will vary by day, mostly in the afternoons and evenings, but remain “elevated” through most of the week, bringing some relief from the heat.
