UPDATE: Wind Advisory, Wind Warning, Flood Watch issued

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Wind Advisory for Hall County and most of north and Central Georgia. It is in effect from 4:00 a.m. Tuesday until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday for 20-30 mph winds with gusts up to 40 mph.

Meanwhile, a High Wind Warning is in place for the higher elevations in Georgia including Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Dawson, Lumpkin, and White counties where wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible.

As we noted in an earlier story today, several inches of rain and some flooding are likely across the affected areas. And a Flood Watch has now been posted for north Georgia from tonight through Tuesday evening.
