UPDATE: Oakwood woman trapped in wrecked car

An Oakwood woman had to be cut from her wrecked car after it left Stephens Road Saturday afternoon and struck a tree. The state patrol released details about the accident Sunday morning.

STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“On May 4 at 3:48 PM, troopers responded to Stephens Road in reference to a traffic crash.

Upon arrival, the investigation revealed that a 2009 Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Stephens Road, traveling too fast and negotiating a curve.

The driver, Oscarin Rojas Calles (21 YO of Oakwood), jerked the steering wheel causing the vehicle to rotate and strike a tree. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and trapped in the vehicle.

She was extricated from the vehicle by Hall County Fire and transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.”
