A motorist who stopped at an accident on Georgia 365 near Tuesday night was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle.
GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 6:35 pm, Troopers from Post 6 Gainesville responded to a three-vehicle crash on GA 365 at Athens Street.
A 2015 Nissan Frontier was traveling south on GA 365 in the left turn lane. A 2000 Freightliner tractor trailer was traveling north on GA 365 in the right lane. A 2018 Audi Q5 was traveling west on Athens Street, stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of GA 365.
The Nissan Frontier turned left toward Athens Street and was struck by the Freightliner. This impact caused the Frontier to strike the Audi. There were no injuries because of this crash.”
A state patrol spokesman added that a bystander exited her vehicle to render aid for this crash and was struck by an unknown silver sedan traveling north on GA 365, causing minor injuries. This vehicle has not been located and state troopers are asking anyone who has any information on this vehicle and crash to come forward.
