A motorcyclist was injured Monday afternoon in a two‑vehicle crash on Thompson Bridge Road just north of Cochran Road, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and investigators with the Accident Investigation Unit responded shortly after 5:00. Authorities said a pickup had stopped for a traffic light in the northbound left lane when the motorcycle, operated by Elijah Thomas Buckley, 20, of Hampton, failed to stop and struck the rear of the truck.
Buckley suffered a fractured arm in the collision. The driver of the truck, Jessica Lynn Wood, 35, of Gainesville, and her juvenile passenger were not injured.
Investigators cited Buckley for following too closely. Portions of Thompson Bridge Road were closed for about 45 minutes during the investigation.
