“Deputies arrested two Gainesville men for racing on highway or streets following a traffic stop late Saturday night, Feb. 24, on U.S. 129/Athens Highway south of Gainesville.
At about 10:50 p.m., deputies observed two cars traveling west on Athens Highway at a high rate of speed near Bob Bryant Road. They were in adjacent lanes and keeping pace with one another. Deputies stopped both vehicles without incident and arrested the drivers.
Ruben P. Cerda, 25, and Angelo Cerda, 21, were each cited for racing, driving too fast for conditions and window tint violation.
They were booked into the Hall County Jail. Each man posted $390 bond and was released on Sunday morning, Feb. 25.”
