UPDATE: Child molestation, rape case

Oakwood Police say the child molestation, rape case involving 35-yer-old Diego Roberto Villacorta-Padilla began with a report from Child Protective Services (CPS) on Oct. 21 regarding a possible incident of child molestation.

CPS said Diego had been accused of sexually abusing and raping a teenage girl known to him.

Detective Sgt.  Stewart Webb said he attended a forensic interview with the victim “and found probable cause” to charge him.

Diego was arrested at his home in Oakwood earlier this week and, according to Sgt. Webb, who added that he “collected additional evidence for further processing.” 

He is charged with rape, child molestation, sexual battery of a child under 16-years-old, cruelty to children in the first degree, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
