The alleged Porch Pirate arrested recently by Forsyth County authorities is Tanaka Ngoni Mangadze, 20, of Cumming.

An incident report released Monday by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) shows that Mangadze was arrested Thursday on Ashton Drive in Cumming. According to the report, Mangadze’s car matched the description of one believed involved in stealing packages from houses in Forsyth and surrounding counties.

“While clearing the vehicle, I smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle,” deputy D.J. Loucks report reads. “I also observed multiple open packages in plain view that was on the front passenger seat and a large Amazon/ prime box in the rear seat.”

The report goes on to say the trunk was opened and several shoe boxes were found inside. “A second officers noticed that one of the shoe boxes in the trunk was the same one that was reported stolen last (Wednesday) night (and) was able to confirm the shoe size on the box and other markings
from his report about the stolen shoes and boxes. I conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle for drugs. I located small marijuana shake in the center console that was near a brown paper wrapper, commonly used for rolling marijuana.”

Mangadze was booked into the Forsyth County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana, failure to maintain lane, and tag light requirement with additional charges pending, according to the report.
