Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Special Investigations Unit (SIU) investigators arrested two people on late Tuesday afternoon during an undercover drug investigation in Oakwood.
The officers made contact with the suspects, a man and woman, in a restaurant parking lot at 3825 Mundy Mill Road at approximately 5:50 p.m. They confiscated approximately 520 grams or 18 ounces of marijuana from the suspects’ vehicle.
Each was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana. The suspects are identified as David Kent Sorrells, 30, and Jasmine Marie Young, 32, both of Mansfield, Ga.
Investigators estimate the street value of marijuana at $6,300. Sorrells and Young were each being held without bond in the Hall County Jail on Wednesday afternoon.
