Two men were arrested recently on a variety of charges after they were spotted at a Gainesville apartment complex and question by police.
Gainesville Police said Monday Kymauriae J-Wan Chatman, 21, is charged with going inside a guardline with weapon, liquor or drugs; possession of MDMA; financial transaction card theft; purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana; and giving false information to police.
Also in the car, according to police, was David Isaul Ramirez-Mejia, 19. He’s charged with possession of MDA; purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana; and possession of a firearm/knife in the commission of a crime.
“They were in a vehicle at Lake Forrest Apartments, did have multiple debit cards with (someone else’s) name on them,” police spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email. “Did have pills on them. Ramirez did have a gun on him.”
They were arrested Friday afternoon. Both were still being held without bond Monday afternoon.
