*An Atlanta man has been arrested and charged with stealing five heavy-duty pickups worth $400,000 from a Winder dealership. The trucks were taken from Aikens Ford earlier this month. After developing leads in the case, Winder Police issued a lookout for Xavier Evans, 28, and he was arrested Thursday by Atlanta police during a traffic stop.

*Gwinnett County Police say the discovery of thousands of dollars in stolen construction equipment is linked to the recent arrest of Gainesville doctor. Isaac Sved, 65, was indicted by federal authorities last week on charges of running pill mills in Buford and Roswell. Police say the suspects arrested with the stolen equipment are believed to be involved in a money-laundering operation with Dr. Sved.
