*A 40-year-old woman was charged Friday night with shoplifting items worth more than $500. The initial report from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, however, does not list the exact amount of the loot.
* Bond has been set at $1,300 for a 42-year-old man charged with theft by taking. The case apparently involves incidents at two different locations. He was arrested about noon Saturday, the sheriff’s office says.
*A woman has been arrested by Forsyth County authorities and charged with using a stolen credit card to buy nearly $2,000 worth of stuff from a Walmart store. The victim, a sheriff’s office social media post says, was unaware of what had happened until he received a notification from the credit card company. He had lost his wallet containing the card a little bit earlier.
*Distribution or possession of dangerous drug charges have been filed against a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old. Both were arrested early Saturday morning. Both are also charged with loitering or prowling and were still in the Hall County Jail Sunday morning, each being held without bond on the drug charges.
*And from the “well, it has been warm” department: A 42-year-old woman has been charged by Gainesville Police with public indecency. She was arrested about 2:00 Thursday afternoon. “Officers were called to Green Crest Drive for a female with no shirt on,” spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Friday. “(She) was found in public view with her chest exposed and no valid reason for such.” She was still in jail at last check. Bond has been set at $1,300. And there was another such arrest made about 2:00 Saturday morning in the 1400 block of Browns Bridge Road. But that’s all that was known about that case Sunday morning.
More details on most of these are not likely to be available until Monday when local law enforcement administrative offices open following the weekend.
