The legion of Georgia political leaders coming to the defense of former President Donald Trump in the wake of his conviction in the New York “hush money” trial continues to grow.
Among the latest to weigh in, State Senate Majority Leader Steve Gooch (R-Dahlonega) who recently tweeted: “The trial was a disgrace. We must stand with President Trump!”
Another northeast Georgian, U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson County), tweeted his reaction just hours after the verdicts were read. Trump found guilty on all 34 counts in New York trial; Clyde weighs in (wgtjradio.com) Clyde’s district includes most of Hall County.
