A 24-year-old Gainesville man is free on bond following his arrest last week after allegedly slapping a young boy so hard he left a palm print on the kid’s face. Nathaniel Sadun Touch was released on $3,500 bond Saturday.
“The victim, a 5-year-old boy, showed up at school on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, with a visible injury on the side of his face,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman B.J. Willliams said Monday. “The arrest warrant for Touch described the injury as a handprint-shaped bruise. A teacher at the school noticed the injury and inquired about it, ultimately contacting law enforcement.”
The investigation, Williams said, determined Touch injured the child as he was disciplining the boy at home the previous day. He was charged with first-degree child cruelty.
Touch was booked into the county jail on Friday afternoon.
