One man is in custody in connection with the incident which happened about midnight Thursday.

Gainesville Police say they arrested Miles Crutcher, 22, inside the building.

“Crutcher broke several windows to gain entry,” Lt. Kevin Holbrook said Monday. “Crutcher allegedly caused $18,000 in damage to the facility.”

Library Director Lisa McKinney declined to comment or give additional information. “
Since this is an open investigation we unfortunately cannot comment beyond what the police department has put out,” she said.

He was arrested without incident and taken to the Hall County Jail where he was being held Monday afternoon. Bond is set at $2,950. He’s charged with burglary.
