Suspect in Maria Gomez-Perez case has 1st court appearance

The suspect in the Maria Gomez-Perez case pleaded not guilty Friday to the six Ohio charges he faces in connection with the incident, according to The Times Reporter n Dover, Ohio.

Those charges are rape (two counts), gross sexual imposition, one count of interference with custody, and pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor (two counts).

Antonio Agustin-Ailon, 34, was arraigned Friday during his first court appearance in Dover, where authorities say he was found with 12-year-old Maria late last month, two months after she was reported missing from her Gainesville home. He was indicted by a Dover grand jury two weeks ago.
