Summertime burn ban lifted

The annual summertime ban on outdoor burning has been lifted.

Hall County is among a number of counties in north and central Georgia where the prohibition is in effect each year between May 1 and September 30. Outdoor burning will now be allowed with the “proper” permits.

Other counties in the immediate Gainesville area that are included are: Gwinnett, Banks, Barrow, and Jackson.
