A student at a Forsyth County High school was found with a gun near the campus Friday morning, according to the sheriff’s office in Cumming.
SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE:
“…The School Resource Deputies at North Forsyth High School were given a tip about possible narcotics activity near a barn next to the softball field. The student in question was located by deputies.
Administrators searched the student and the student’s vehicle. In the car, the Administrators located alcohol and vape cartridges. In addition, a loaded handgun was found in the glovebox.
The 16-year-old…was arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon within a School Safety Zone and Underage Possession of Alcohol…g.
At no time were any threats made to students or school staff.”
