The following temporary closures are planned today through Thursday Gainesville works to erect large-scale holiday decorations ahead of Jingle Mingle and the Lighting of the Chicken:
• Public parking lot closest to the Hall County Parking Facility (at the corner of Broad Street SE and Henry Ward Way)
• Broad Street SE between E.E. Butler Parkway and Henry Ward Way (Broad Street will not be accessible from E.E. Butler, nor will that entrance to the Hall County Parking Facility)
• Henry Ward Way between Kenyon Plaza and 311 Henry Ward Way (building belonging to Gainesville Community and Economic Development Department [CEDD])
The two public parking lots closest to Jesse Jewell Parkway, outside the Gainesville Administration and CEDD buildings, will remain open and accessible.
Those traveling in the area are urged to drive carefully, follow all detour signs, and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time.
