Still no ID of one victim of Friday accident that killed Demorest teen

It may be several days or even weeks before the name of one of the people killed in a head-on collision Friday night that also killed a Demorest teenager is released, according to Franklin County Coroner Scott O’Barr.

The body was sent to the GBI Lab in Atlanta for positive ID. That could take several days to weeks, depending on what they need to do to make an identification, according to WLHR’s MJ Kneiser.

The crash killed two people and seriously injured a third. It happened just before midnight on Highway 17, just near Old Highway 17.

The other fatality was 19-year-old Isaac McCraw of Demorest. Another White County teenager, 18-year-old Noel Hutchings of also Cleveland, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville with serious injuries.
