SCOGA overrules lower court on Cobb Co. absentee ballot case

(GEORGIA NEWS NETWORK) – The Georgia Supreme Court (SCOGA) is ruling against a deadline extension for absentee ballots in Cobb County. A lower court judge initially ruled the deadline for returns could be extended to November 8 after the Cobb elections office missed the deadline to mail out 3,000 ballots. The Republican National Committee had appealed the ruling, which was overturned by the higher court Monday.
