*Lightning is to blame for damages to two south Georgia churches. WALB reports Saint James Missionary Baptist Church in Ambrose burned down when storms came through on Sunday night. It was just 30-minutes away, where the Fitzgerald Church of God in Fitzgerald suffered damages from a lightning strike on the same night. Both churches will be rebuilt.

*The First Lady is heading to Atlanta tomorrow. The White House says Jill Biden will discuss women’s health research during a luncheon at the Morehouse School of Medicine. Vice President Kamala Harris is expected in Savannah today to discuss abortion rights.

*Following the cybersecurity incident on January 28, Fulton County continues to experience an IT outage, disrupting its multiple systems.

*Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency along with the National Weather Service remind everyone that we are approaching the time of year when there’s an increase in weather-related risks. Officials are urging all residents to actively participate in preparing for potential natural disasters, including tornadoes, strong winds, and flooding. Some tips to consider — purchasing a NOAA Weather Radio and choosing an out-of-state friend as a “check-in” contact to call if your family gets separated. A statewide tornado drill is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, at 9 a.m.
