*The voter registration deadline for Georgia’s presidential primaries is coming up.  Monday is the last day you can register if you want to participate.  Early voting begins Feb. 19, and election day is March 12. You can check your voting registration status and view sample ballots online at the Secretary of State’s website.

*Authorities are releasing more information about Friday’s incident inside the Smyrna Police Department building that left two officers hospitalized. The pair fell ill after coming into contact with some paperwork that was dropped off. The officers suffered chest pain, dizziness and difficulty breathing. The paperwork reported had been addressed to the Smyrna police chief. As of Friday night, specialists were working to identify a substance that was later found on the papers.  
 
*New reports showing many Georgians are falling into further credit card debt. The average credit card balance is now more than $6,300, an all-time high. An additional 20 million new credit accounts were opened nationwide in the fourth quarter last year when credit card delinquencies surged more than 50 percent.
