*A sizable chunk of spending is being proposed for infrastructure in Georgia’s new budget. Governor Brian Kemp gave out few details of his plan yesterday, which includes over half-a-billion-dollars for the state’s freight and logistics network. The rest will be split between local road construction and water improvements.
*Gas prices aren’t supposed to be affected by the shutdown of a pipeline in metro Atlanta. A spokesperson for Colonial Pipeline in Paulding County told the AJC that a line was temporarily closed Monday and yesterday after a potential gasoline release was reported by a landowner. The line transports roughly one-and-a-half-million-gallons-a-day from Texas to New Jersey. It should have no bearing at the pump because gasoline production is normal at refineries.
