The money, in the form of Vibrant Community Grants from the Georgia Council for the Arts, is headed to Brenau University, the City of Flowery Branch, the Lanier Chamber Singers, and (as we reported a few days ago) the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s Vision 2030 program. In addition, organizations and a municipality in three adjoining counties are getting grants as well. The Sautee-Nacoochee Community Association in White County is getting a Cultural Facilities Grant and Vibrant Community Grants have been awarded the Barrow County School System, Barrow ArtsNow Learning, Inc. and the school system’s Arts & Innovation Magnet Program. In Habersham County, the City of Cornelia is also the recipient of one.
