A man and woman from Atlanta remain in the Hall County Jail following their arrests early Sunday morning near Flat Creek Road following reports of prowlers in the area. It happened about 3:30 at a residence in the 5200 block of Byers Road.
According to the preliminary investigation, a man approached the home wearing a face mask and looked through a window. He then returned to a small car parked on the road but went back to the house, now wearing gloves, and began moving a camera and lights mounted on the home. When an alarm at the home sounded, the man ran back to the car and drove away.
“Deputies obtained surveillance footage from the home and began searching for the car,” sheriff’s office spokeswoman B.J. Williams said. “They found it on Forest South Place and spoke with the two occupants, who were arguing with one another. Deputies identified the driver, Brandon Deangelo Greenwood, 37, of Atlanta, as the primary suspect in the prowling case. Greenwood was in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and a piece of mail stolen from a home near the scene.”
Greenwood was arrested and charged him with possession of tools for the commission of a crime. He also is charged with wearing a mask, loitering or prowling, theft by taking and possession of marijuana.
“Deputies also arrested Greenwood’s passenger, Shawanna Reunsha Hall, 33, of Atlanta,” Williams said. “She is charged with misdemeanor loitering or prowling.”
Greenwood is being held on a $5,330 bond. Hall’s bond is $1,300.
