Two people were injured during an incident in North Hall during which shots were fried into a pickup. One victim’s injuries were the direct result of the shooting.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“Hall County Sheriff’s investigators have charged an Alto man with three counts of aggravated assault for firing gunshots at a pickup truck on Friday afternoon.
They arrested Michael Lewis Shockley, 52, at Hall County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters on Friday evening following an interview.
According to the initial investigation, three individuals in a pickup truck (male, 41, female, 37 and female, 14) arrived at Shockley’s residence in the 7100 block of Tribble Gap Road on Friday afternoon. All three got out, with the man remaining near the truck. A dispute then ensued with Shockley, who had approached the truck, and the male victim.
Shockley then fired a handgun in the man’s direction and at the truck, striking the vehicle several times. The female victims were back in the truck when Shockley fired the gun. All four parties knew one another before the dispute.
The victims drove to a gas station in the 7300 block of Tribble Gap Road. Investigators and deputies responded to both the initial crime scene and the gas station.
The 37-year-old female victim was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for a leg injury suffered when she fell while outside of Shockley’s residence. The male victim, 41, suffered minor injuries from shattered glass in the truck.
Shockley was being held without bond in the Hall County Jail on Monday afternoon.”
