S. Hall woman jailed on burglary, other charges

An Oakwood woman remained in the Hall County Jail at mid-morning Friday following her arrest earlier in the week after a homeowner found her ransacking a house in the 2200 block of Athens Highway. It happened Wednesday, according to a report released Friday by the sheriff’s office.

HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“The victim called 911 to report she had arrived home just after 1 p.m. and found her front door open. She reported a woman she did not know was inside the house, rummaging through her belongings and wearing her clothing.

Deputies arrived at the scene and identified the offender as Dakota Faith Cheyenne Kiddie, 29. They detained Kiddie inside the residence and determined she had entered the victim’s house without permission, broken a glass vase and eaten food from the kitchen. Kiddie had changed into some clothing belonging to the victim because her clothes were wet after she used the victim’s outdoor water hose to wash herself.

According to the investigation, Kiddie did not know the victim prior to the incident. She had no specific ties to the residence or the immediate area.

Deputies transported Kiddie to the Hall County Jail on charges of burglary, theft by taking and criminal trespass…”
