S. Hall man facing 9 child sex charges

A Flowery Branch man is in the Hall County Jail after sheriff’s investigators recently charged him with sending sexually explicit images and videos of himself to a minor.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

Deputies were first notified of the images and videos on Feb. 13 when an adult family member of the local female victim, who is under the age of 16, found them on her phone and contacted law enforcement. HCSO deputies identified the suspect in the case as Antonio De La Torre Mariscal, 19, of Flowery Branch. Deputies took the initial report, and the case was assigned to the HCSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit.

Following forensic processing of the victim’s phone, ICAC investigators obtained warrants for De La Torre Mariscal’s arrest on Thursday, June 11. The charges are one count of felony electronic exploitation of a minor and eight counts of misdemeanor electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor.

According to the ICAC investigation, De La Torre Mariscal transmitted eight lewd images or videos of himself to the victim using Snapchat. He also described explicit sexual acts he wanted to engage in with the victim. The crimes occurred between Aug. 14 and Nov. 28, 2025. Investigators determined De La Torre Mariscal was acquainted with the victim prior to the crimes and knew she was a minor.

De La Torre Mariscal turned himself in at the Hall County Jail late Wednesday morning, June 17. He is being held without bond.
