Bond has been set at $3,380 for a 51-year-old Oakwood man who’s facing several charges following an incident involving another man at an Oakwood intersection.
OAKWOOD POLICE NARRATIVE:
“Sunday night, Oakwood police officers responded to the area of Mundy Mill Rd. and Mundy Mill Dr. in reference to a motor vehicle accident with no reported injuries.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant who told them that while driving through the intersection of Mundy Mill Road and the I-985 SB exit 16 off-ramp another vehicle ran a red light and struck his vehicle, later identified as James Box, who exited his vehicle, struck the complainant several times, and then fled the scene prior to police arrival. But he left his driver’s license at the scene.
Officers later located Box at a nearby hotel and arrested him on charges of simple battery, disorderly conduct, hit and run, and ignoring traffic control devices.
