Roswell couple issues $500K donors challenge for Hall Habitat

HABITAT FOR HALL COUNTY NEWS RELEASE:

“It is in the vein of these stirring words by Martin Luther King Jr. that Don and Sandy Tieken of Roswell, Georgia continue their pledge to impact Habitat for Humanity of Hall County by donating incrementally an unparalleled $500,000 to the nonprofit and encourages others to match their generosity.

A businessman and former Habitat for Humanity Executive Director himself, Don’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Hall County began with a deceivingly complex question; what he and Sandy wanted their legacies to be. Having chosen to focus on Hall County, Don and Sandy’s decision to do so stemmed from Habitat for Humanity of Hall County’s thoroughly documented and cohesive plan for achieving construction goals.

Homeowner families often endure extreme hardships prior to becoming part of the Habitat family, balancing the difficulty of inadequate, inaccessible, and unsuitable living conditions with daily stressors.

Through the continued support and generosity of ardent volunteers and gracious donors, Habitat for Humanity facilitates transformational growth to local families by bridging the gap to accessible homeownership through affordable mortgages. Don and Sandy believe in Habitat’s mission and challenge you to join them in serving your community.”
