2:30 P.M. UPDATE:
A section of Kelly Mill Road in Forsyth County that had been closed since about noon because of standoff involving authorities and an armed individual has reopened.
The affected stretch of road was between Barrett Downs Drive and Johnson Road. The incident involved an armed, barricaded person and stemmed from a domestic incident.
The sheriff’s office says additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
